About fuse15

What if “school” were more about engaging with the world around us — partnering to solve real-world issues and creating exciting opportunities?

What if instead of attending a conference, you created impact?

How Might We join forces with organizations doing good and crowdsource possible solutions that could make an impact now?

Mount Vernon’s Institute for Innovation invites you to join our mission to dream, make and launch solutions not just talk about them.

At #fuse15, the Flight Crew (coaches) from Mount Vernon Presbyterian School and the Mount Vernon Institute for Innovation will guide a small but powerful team of design thinkers and doers on a mission to make a difference while learning DEEP design thinking methods that not only can change school, but that can also change the world. Teachers, school leaders, and engaged citizen leaders are invited to register at Eventbrite for this year’s moonshot.

On June 3-5, MVIFI will embark on its fourth annual fuse experience. This year, we’re partnering with the Georgia Center for Nonprofits to work on real challenges their organizations face. At the culmination of fuse15, we plan to be launch-ready with solutions for our nonprofit partners! Additionally, Friday at fuse will include UN-conference-like sessions directly focused on infusing design thinking into into your school or organization. Using our DEEP methodology – Discover, Empathize, Experiment, Produce – we will empower participants to build capacity in design thinking by engaging in design challenges with expert guidance and coaching. We will DREAM. MAKE. LAUNCH.

fuse15 participants not only will leave Atlanta with a tremendous skillset in DEEPdt, but they will also know that their designs and prototypes impacted the Georgia nonprofit community.
